This is a Malhia Kent jacket. This company was started by Michele Sorano who bought her first loom in 1961, the year that I was born. She died in 98 and Eve Korrigan is the company's new owner. The jackets are just gorgeous. The company produces some of the most beautiful fabrics in the world and at one time she produced fabric for Coco Chanel. I saw a photo of an interior shot of their store in Paris and I was in awe. I studied weaving in summer school and my weaving project that started as a Scandinavian table runner turned into a place mat. It did not help my grade when one of my classmates made a woven sleeping bag for her professional project.
