The Art of California Native Gardens
We recently made an art day at the San Luis Botanic Gardens and I got some ideas for our garden at home. I like to keep the Native California Plants growing in our garden. The Southern California Native Flower Garden, by Susan Van Atta, is a guide to size, bloom, foliage, color, and texture, that is user friendly to planning and changing the garden to be what you want it to be. The book is fun to use because it covers the zone systems, what blooms when, how tall the plants grow, and do the plants attract butterflies, bees, hummingbirds or anything else. The book is artistic and useful.
